The Second Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Laishan District went to Taiwan Village Community to conduct a free medical consultation activity.
To enhance the health awareness of community residents, popularize health knowledge and bring health to the residents' doorstep, on July 15th, the expert team from the Second Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Laishan District went to Taiwan Village Community. Under the theme of "Cooling Down in Summer, Health Together", they held an extremely meaningful summer health consultation event. This health consultation event precisely focused on the common diseases that occur frequently in summer, providing the community residents with professional and considerate free health services.
At the event site, the medical team showcased their expertise for the service recipients, including community residents (especially the elderly, children, outdoor workers), patients with chronic diseases, and those with summer health guidance and health preservation needs. Dr. Liu Xiaqin, the attending physician, initiated a summer health preservation lecture, explaining the knowledge of summer health preservation in an easy-to-understand manner. She also specifically mentioned the three-temperature-patch and three-temperature-needling therapy, which are suitable for certain diseases and groups, allowing the residents to have a deeper understanding of winter disease treatment in summer. After the lecture, Dr. Liu Xiaqin promptly engaged in on-site physical constitution diagnosis and treatment guidance for internal medicine, creating personalized health preservation plans for the residents.
Director Fan Fengyun and Dr. Zang Fangping were surrounded by a large number of residents suffering from neck, shoulder, back and leg pain. With their rich clinical experience, the two doctors carefully conducted on-site consultations for each resident, providing them with professional treatment plans and rehabilitation suggestions. Nurse Guo Yanhong was also there, patiently and meticulously measuring the blood pressure of the residents for free, constantly monitoring their blood pressure health conditions and offering professional advice to those in need.

One of the most popular segments was the health knowledge dissemination on preventing heatstroke conducted by Nurse Leader Xiao Yan. Xiao Yan, taking into account the characteristics of summer, elaborately explained the symptoms, prevention methods, and emergency measures of heatstroke. The residents present all expressed that they had learned a lot of practical knowledge and felt more confident when facing hot weather in the future.
This free medical consultation event received high praise and recognition from the community residents. An elderly person who participated in the event said excitedly, "Such free medical consultation activities are extremely practical. Especially in summer, the knowledge and services provided by the doctors are like a timely rain, solving many of our health doubts. I hope more such events can be held in the future!"
The Second Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Laishan District will continue to hold such beneficial free medical consultation activities, bringing more high-quality medical services to the residents, enhancing their health awareness and health level, and truly meeting their health needs.
