The International Society of Nephrology and the International Kidney Foundation Alliance have designated the second Thursday of March each year as World Kidney Day since 2006. The aim is to enhance public awareness of kidney health and ensure that patients with kidney diseases have fair access to medical treatment. On March 13th, which coincided with the 20th World Kidney Day, the Nephrology Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, as a key specialty in Shandong Province and a member of the cluster of key specialties in kidney diseases, responded positively to the cluster's call and jointly with the Hemodialysis Room, held a public lecture and free medical consultation activity with the theme of "Is Your Kidney Still Fine? Early Check-ups, Healthy Living".
After the lecture, the medical team of the Nephrology Department and the Hemodialysis Room of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital held a free medical consultation activity in the outpatient hall. They patiently answered the questions of the citizens who came for consultation, and provided individualized treatment suggestions based on their health problems and medical needs. Many patients brought their physical examination reports and consulted about various abnormal indicators.
