National Medical Master Professor Wang Xinlu Visits Our Hospital to Conduct a Series of Academic Activities
To continuously and thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi's instructions on the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) cause to "inherit the essence, uphold integrity, and innovate," continuously promote the high-quality development of the hospital, improve the theoretical level, capability, and clinical diagnosis and treatment level of the hospital's talent team, cultivate high-quality and high-level outstanding TCM clinical talents who possess TCM thinking, master both TCM and medicine skills, and are good at exploring and innovating, and better serve the health of the people of Yantai, on May 29, National Medical Master Professor Wang Xin visited our hospital and carried out a series of academic activities including teaching rounds, discussions on difficult cases, academic lectures, and inheritance teaching.
In the morning, Professor Wang conducted rounds teaching for 6 difficult cases in the Brain Disease Department, Geriatrics Department, Oncology Department I, and Oncology Department IV. After listening to the case reports, he examined the patients by one, patiently inquired about their medical histories, felt their pulses, and performed specialized physical examinations. Subsequently, he conducted discussions around the cases, carried out in-depth analyses, proposed optimized treatment plan suggestions. Throughout the entire rounding process, Professor Wang embodied the medical style of putting life first and the spirit of "great physicians are sincere and dedicated," as as the academic essence of being well-versed in both ancient and modern knowledge and mastering both Chinese and Western medicine.
After the rounds, Professor Wang Xinlu and his party came our hospital's academic lecture hall and conducted a special academic training session on TCM clinical thinking. He proposed 7 clinical thinking steps, such as "prioritizing efficacy, thinking," and organically integrated medical humanities and natural sciences combined with clinical cases. His unique insights and innovative thinking concepts greatly benefited the attendees. Nearly 200 academic backbones from our hospital some county and city TCM hospitals participated in the training activity.
On the afternoon of the 29th, National Medical Master Wang Xinlu presided over the inheritance and teaching work meeting the Blood Turbidity Research Studio. Nearly 40 academic successors and blood turbidity theory researchers from the studio participated in the seminar. Professor Wang elaborated on the origins of academic schools traditional TCM culture, the theoretical development system, and inheritance and innovation, further strengthening the belief in the development of TCM characterized by self-confidence, self-reliance, upholding the foundation and being inclusive and open.
Our hospital will take this academic activity as an opportunity to inherit the academic thoughts and clinical experience of National Medical Master Professor Wang Xinlu. Through talent and echelon construction, we will delve deep into clinical practice, hone our medical skills, and accelerate the transformation of our hospital into a "highland" for the concentration of medical resources a "base" for the cultivation of TCM talents, and a "blessed land" for the guarantee of people's health, better safeguarding the health of the people.
