In accordance with the work requirements of the “Health Promotion Action Plan of ”Four for Four, Four for Four“ issued by the Shandong Provincial Health Commission, and under the unified leadership of the Yantai Municipal Health Commission, the Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine carried out the ”Knowledge of Disease Prevention and Control" activity to effectively improve the health literacy of the whole people.

At present, chronic diseases are a class of diseases that seriously threaten the health of our residents and have become a major public health issue affecting the country's economic and social development. It is urgent to implement a healthy lifestyle for the whole people.According to statistics, 44% of diabetes, 23% of ischemic heart disease and certain cancer causes can be attributed to overweight and obesity.In accordance with the requirements of the “Implementation Plan of Shandong Province's ”Three Reduction, Control and Three High“ Project”, on July 18th, the Department of Public Health of the hospital launched a “three Reduction” intervention model for the canteen of Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and conducted a series of training on the theme of “three reduction” for all canteen managers, chefs, service personnel and other staff. The training content mainly includes "salt reduction, sugar reduction, oil reduction" knowledge, cooking skills, dietary guidelines, etc.

Through training, we advocated the launch of “three reductions” healthy recipes, encouraged the monitoring of salt, edible oil, and added sugar, and recommended that canteens adopt total control of the amount of back kitchen oil and salt to reduce consumption year by year.The promotional theme was broadcast on a large screen on the spot, focusing on the knowledge of ”each person's daily oil intake does not exceed 30g, and salt does not exceed 5g“, ”Reasonable diet, moderate exercise“, ”Regular measurement of blood pressure and blood sugar", and more than 20 brochures were distributed, benefiting more than 50 people.

The purpose of this training is to promote the “three reductions, control and three heights” action, effectively reduce the intake of edible salt, edible oil and added sugar, rationally control blood pressure, blood lipids, and blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, improve the quality of life, and further promote a healthy lifestyle for the whole people and improve the health of the whole people.
