Good News | The Medical Laboratory Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital has won the Excellent Award for Clinical Laboratory Quality Management in Shandong Province
Recently, the Clinical Laboratory Management Conference of Shandong Province and the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Clinical Laboratory Professional Committee of Shandong Hospital Association were grandly held in Jinan. This conference was hosted by the Shandong Hospital Association and organized by the Shandong Clinical Laboratory Center. Its aim was to summarize and analyze the quality management work of clinical laboratories in the province during the years 2023-2024, and to commend the outstanding teams and individuals. The Medical Laboratory Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital once again received the title of "Outstanding Collective in Shandong Province for Clinical Laboratory Quality Management", and the department head Ding Lushun was honored as an "Advanced Individual in Shandong Province for Clinical Laboratory Quality Management".
The Medical Laboratory Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital has always adhered to the quality policy of "fairness, accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness", and has always focused on quality. It strictly controls the quality standards before, during and after the tests. The department has actively participated in the inter-laboratory quality assessment activities organized by the National Clinical Laboratory Center and the Shandong Provincial Clinical Laboratory Center for many consecutive years, covering more than 100 testing items such as clinical testing, biochemistry, immunology and microbiology. The biochemical and coagulation testing items have participated in the internal and external inter-laboratory quality improvement plans of the Shandong Provincial Clinical Laboratory Center, and real-time report the internal quality control data. At the same time, it actively participates in the inter-laboratory result recognition activities of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Currently, many testing items have achieved the mutual recognition of laboratory results within the province.
This award is not only a recognition of the work of our hospital's Medical Laboratory Department, but also a motivation for future work. Director Ding Lushun of the Medical Laboratory Department said that with this honor as an opportunity, we will further deepen the construction of the laboratory, improve the internal quality control and inter-laboratory quality assessment, continuously optimize the testing process, strengthen technological innovation and talent cultivation, and continuously improve the quality and level of testing services.
