In order to further enhance the management level of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) preparations in all medical and health institutions across the city, ensure the quality of TCM preparations, continuously improve the TCM service capabilities of these institutions, provide the public with more high-quality and convenient TCM services, and contribute to the vigorous development of the TCM sector in Yantai's medical and health institutions, on April 26, 2025, the Fourth TCM Professional Committee of the Yantai TCM Society, hosted by the Yantai TCM Hospital and organized by the Yantai TCM Society, successfully concluded its establishment ceremony.

Concurrently, a training session for the "Yantai TCM Preparation Quality Control Center and TCM Preparation Quality Control Center" was held. This meeting brought together over 100 expert representatives from various medical and health institutions in Yantai.
The meeting began with the establishment ceremony of the Fourth TCM Professional Committee. Secretary-General Ma Jinghua of the Yantai TCM Society presided over the election meeting, following the regulations of the society and through democratic election, 119 members were elected as the members of the Fourth TCM Professional Committee of the Yantai TCM Society, including 1 chairperson, 10 vice-chairpersons, and 32 day-to-day business members. At the same time， a certificate awarding ceremony was held.
In her statement， the new chairperson Ma Jiede clearly expressed that she felt a heavy responsibility and a glorious mission. In the future work， she will actively unite and lead all committee members， fully exert the role of the TCM Professional Committee as a bridge and link， and carry out various activities such as academic exchanges and talent cultivation， to vigorously promote academic innovation and technological progress in the TCM industry， and make unremitting efforts to improve TCM quality and promote the culture of traditional Chinese medicine.
Secretary-General Ma Jinghua pointed out that this change the term of office work is of crucial significance for the continuous development of the professional committee. It not only injects new vitality and wisdom into the committee， but also carries the responsibility of promoting the continuous progress of TCM specialties. It is believed that the new committee will surely bear the mission， take on the responsibility， lead the TCM professional work in the region to continue to forge ahead， and contribute solid strength to the innovative development of the TCM sector in Yantai's medical and health institutions.
After the change the term of office ceremony， the 2025 Academic Annual Conference of the Yantai TCM Society and the TCM Preparation and TCM Preparation Quality Control Center Training Conference were held. 
Han Feng, the vice president of the Yantai City Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and the vice president of the Yantai City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, delivered a speech. First of all, he expressed warm congratulations to the newly elected committee members; secondly, he put forward earnest expectations for all the colleagues present. Vice President Han Feng pointed out that the quality control of traditional Chinese medicine is an important cornerstone for the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, and it plays a decisive role in promoting the industry to achieve its sustainable development strategic goals. Vice President Han Feng earnestly encouraged everyone to fully seize this valuable opportunity, uphold the spirit of academic research, and strive to achieve learning success. He emphasized that all the participants must uphold a high level of professional quality and a strong sense of responsibility, actively engage in the work of improving the quality of traditional Chinese medicine, and jointly strive to promote the steady progress of the traditional Chinese medicine cause.
Ma Chuangjiang, the director of the Chinese Medicine Branch of the Shandong Chinese Medicine Association, the executive deputy director of the Shandong Chinese Medicine Affairs Quality Control Center, and the director of the Pharmacy Department of Shandong Chinese Medicine University Affiliated Hospital, pointed out that in the process of the development of traditional Chinese medicine, the quality control of Chinese medicine decoctions and preparations occupies a crucial position and is a key factor in ensuring the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine. He solemnly called on all academic colleagues to attach great importance to the quality of drugs and strictly follow relevant standards and norms to carry out all work. Only in this way can we promote the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine cause and enable traditional Chinese medicine to better serve people's health.
The meeting specially invited Ma Chuangjiang, the director of the Pharmacy Department of Shandong Chinese Medicine University Affiliated Hospital, Professor Wang Shaoping, the head of the Chinese Medicine Department of Binzhou Medical University, Ma Jiede, the deputy director of the Chinese Medicine Department of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Sun Fudong, the deputy director of the Pharmacy Department of Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital to give lectures. The experts focused on four aspects: "Pharmacy Development", "Formula Development", "Herb Identification", and "Warehouse Management", and delved into the professional field contents such as the high-quality development of the pharmacy department, the research and development of traditional Chinese medicine preparations, the quality of Chinese medicine decoctions, and the management experience of the intelligent warehouse. The on-site trainees listened attentively and actively interacted, expressing that the training content was rich and practical, and had strong guiding significance for their actual work.
The successful convening of this meeting not only successfully completed the change the term of office election work of the Chinese Medicine Professional Committee， injecting new vitality and vigor into the long-term development of the industry， but also significantly improved the theoretical cognition and practical ability of practitioners in traditional Chinese medicine quality control through professional training.
