The first postdoctoral research proposal presentation meeting of the postdoctoral innovation practice base of Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was successfully held.
On December 31, 2024, the Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base of Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine held its first postdoctoral proposal defense meeting. For this defense, five experts were invited to form the defense panel, including Professor Hu Xuemei and Professor Li Zunling from Binzhou Medical University, Professor Wu Jun from Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Professor Tan Song and Professor Du Tiemin from Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Professor Hu Xuemei served as the head of the panel. Postdoctoral supervisor Professors Hou Aihua and Dai Long attended the meeting in person, while some of the hospital's key research personnel participated in the meeting via video for observation.
At the meeting, Dr. Jiang Yanhua and Dr. Zhao Shanshan respectively presented their research project designs on the clinical study of Yuhuang Sanjie Granules in the treatment of primary liver cancer and the mechanism of thrombocytopenia after tumor chemotherapy. The experts listened attentively to the reports and conducted a comprehensive assessment from aspects such as the feasibility, innovation, and scientificity of the research. They also proposed pertinent suggestions and improvement measures for the existing problems. After a vote, both postdoctoral researchers' opening reports were successfully approved. The successful holding of this opening report meeting demonstrated the research capabilities and academic level of the hospital's postdoctoral fellows, and injected new vitality and impetus into scientific research development.
In November 2024, with the approval of the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Shandong Province, Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine officially became a provincial postdoctoral innovation practice base. The hospital currently has 2 national key specialties and 8 provincial key specialties. The Oncology Department is a national traditional Chinese medicine superior specialty, a national clinical key specialty, a provincial traditional Chinese medicine key discipline, a provincial specialized disease diagnosis and treatment center for traditional Chinese medicine, and a leading specialty in the Qilu Traditional Chinese Medicine Superior Specialty Cluster. The hospital has strong clinical diagnosis and treatment capabilities and research capabilities. To better develop the base construction, the hospital is now open to outstanding doctoral graduates from both domestic and international sources for application. We sincerely invite young talents who are passionate about traditional Chinese medicine research to join us. The base will provide excellent research environment and broad development space for postdoctoral researchers, and jointly promote the vigorous development of traditional Chinese medicine research.
