In order to implement the theme of the 32nd National Cancer Prevention and Control Publicity Week, "Early Prevention, Early Screening, Early Treatment, Working Together to Fight Cancer", and to promote the dissemination of high-quality medical resources to the grassroots level, as well as to popularize scientific knowledge on cancer prevention and treatment, on the morning of April 27th, experts from Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital went to the Xingfu Community Health Service Center to conduct a combined Chinese and Western medicine cancer prevention health check-up and popularization activity. They brought authoritative, practical and warm cancer prevention knowledge to the doorsteps of the residents.
At the free medical consultation site, Dr. Dai Lingling, the chief physician from the Fourth Oncology Department, Dr. Meng Peng, the deputy chief physician, and Dr. Guo Hengzhuo, the chief physician from the Radiotherapy Department, patiently and meticulously conducted consultations and examinations for each resident who came for consultation. Based on the concept of "preventing diseases before they occur" in traditional Chinese medicine, they provided personalized screening suggestions and treatment guidance according to the residents' physical conditions, family medical history, and living habits. At the same time, the hospital also set up a cancer prevention and treatment publicity area. Through various forms such as hanging theme banners, distributing scientific popularization manuals, and on-site explanations, they popularized core knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment to the residents. On that day, a total of over 40 residents were served, and more than 30 sets of publicity materials were distributed.
The nursing team provided free blood pressure measurement services to the residents at the scene. At the same time, they offered experiences of traditional Chinese medicine-based techniques such as ear acupressure bean application and acupoint patch application, helping the residents relieve anxiety and improve sleep. The head nurse of the radiotherapy department, Tang Xiaojie, explained to the public on the spot the risk factors of cancer, the importance of early screening, and the core prevention and treatment concept of "early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment", guiding citizens to establish a correct health concept.
This event received strong support from the Happy Community Health Service Center, a member of the hospital's medical alliance.
