Yantai City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Conducts Online Training Conference on Promoting Appropriate Traditional Chinese Medicine Technologies
In order to fully leverage the advantages and effects of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technologies at the grassroots level in preventing and treating common and frequently-occurring diseases, in accordance with the requirements of the "Notice on Strengthening the Standardized Construction of County-level Traditional Chinese Medicine Appropriate Technology Promotion Centers in Shandong Province" issued by the Shandong Provincial Health Commission, under the unified leadership of the Yantai Municipal Health Commission, on June 14th, the Yantai City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital organized an expert team to conduct an online training conference on promoting traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technologies for grassroots physicians from the five districts (Zhifu District, Laishan District, Development Zone, Fushan District, and High-tech Zone) of the health centers.
This training session featured 4 lecturers, who respectively introduced the application and implementation of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate techniques in various departments and fields, covering topics such as the application of guan'an lotion in the field of gastroenterology, the appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine applied through topical application therapy, the application of auricular bean pressing therapy in pediatric diagnosis and treatment, and the techniques of Jin Sanjin therapy and its clinical applications.
Dr. Jin Fushu, the deputy director of the Gastroenterology Department, provided a detailed introduction to the application of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate techniques in the field of gastroenterology, covering aspects such as the etiology and pathogenesis of gastroenterological diseases, common treatment methods, as well as the composition, formula interpretation, preparation method, and usage of the guan'an lotion developed by our hospital.
Doctor Wang Yijie from the Acupuncture and Massage Department, based on the mechanism, advantages and precautions of the application method, combined with his own clinical experience, gave a detailed introduction to the selection of acupoints for the application of patches for common diseases.
Doctor Liu Yin, a pediatrician, gave a vivid and detailed explanation to the grassroots physicians on the concept and distribution of ear acupressure points, the positioning of common ear acupoints, the exploration of ear acupoints and ear acupoint diagnosis, as well as the clinical applications of ear acupoints. He also combined his practical experiences to deliver the lecture.
Doctor Wang Yanzhi from the Acupuncture and Massage Department gave a detailed explanation of the operation techniques of Jin San Zhuan, covering aspects such as the concept, characteristics, acupoint combinations, and operation procedures. He also demonstrated the operation through video clips, providing practical instructions for grassroots physicians to apply Jin San Zhuan and other distinctive traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment techniques.
This training session lasted for 2 hours and was watched by a total of 180 people. The entire session was recorded for later playback, making it easier for grassroots physicians to review and understand the training content, and apply it effectively. The promotion activity of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technologies carried out by our hospital provides a platform for professionals to learn and communicate. In the future, the hospital will continue to carry out the promotion of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technologies, spreading simple, effective, and affordable appropriate technologies to rural and community medical and health institutions. This will highlight the advantages and roles of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technologies in the prevention and treatment of common and frequently-occurring diseases at the grassroots level, and contribute to the health of Weifang.
