Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Huangbohai New District Branch of the Yantai Public Security Bureau held a signing ceremony for the cooperation in jointly building health for both police and civilians.
In order to thoroughly implement the "Healthy China" strategy and implement the policies of treating police officers well, caring for and warming them, and promoting the precise provision of high-quality traditional Chinese medicine resources to the front line of the police force, on May 12, 2026, the signing ceremony of the cooperation for the joint health development between the Yantai City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Huangbohai New District Branch of the Yantai Public Security Bureau was successfully held at the east campus of our hospital. The Party Secretary and Director of the Huangbohai New District Branch of the Yantai Public Security Bureau, Chen Chuanjiang, and the Party Secretary of the Yantai City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wang Yunqiang, attended the event and delivered speeches. The event was presided over by Liu Chunna, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Yantai City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. More than 30 members of the leadership team of the Huangbohai New District Branch of the Yantai Public Security Bureau and representatives from relevant functional departments and medical staff of the hospital participated in the event.

In his speech, Secretary Wang Yunqiang stated that police officers bear the heavy burdens of high stress, high workload and high risks. Occupational health concerns such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, digestive problems, sleep disorders and anxiety always accompany them. Facing this health challenge that comes at the cost of dedication, the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine's "preventing disease before it occurs" is like gentle spring rain. The hospital will fully leverage its advantages as a Class III Grade A TCM hospital, relying on the solid foundation of national and provincial key specialties, to build a health protection system for every police officer and auxiliary police officer of the police station, covering prevention, intervention and rehabilitation. Secretary Wang also introduced the hospital's construction and development situation in recent years.
Director Chen Chuanjiang first extended a Nurses' Day greeting and respect to all the nurses of Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, expressing gratitude for their efforts in safeguarding people's health with warmth and professionalism. He congratulated and thanked both parties on the successful signing of the agreement, pointing out that the police work is highly demanding and the work schedule is irregular, and the health of the police officers is an important aspect related to combat effectiveness. The branch will take this cooperation as an opportunity to take on responsibilities actively, closely collaborate, and promote the implementation of health services to achieve tangible results, making traditional Chinese medicine a powerful barrier for protecting the health of the police officers.
This health collaboration is not only an important practice for our hospital to fulfill its social responsibilities and serve the regional health care cause, but also a tribute and repayment to the professional dedication of the frontline police officers. In the future, both parties will continue to deepen the police-medicine collaboration and explore the standardized model of "Healthy Police Camp", providing scientific, systematic and continuous integrated traditional and Western medicine health management services to ensure the health of every urban protector, and promoting the construction of a higher-level safe and healthy Yantai.
