On May 7, 2026, the emergency department of Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine received a 88-year-old patient with a unique condition. The elderly man was admitted to the hospital due to sudden severe chest pain. The electrocardiogram and troponin tests promptly indicated acute non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.

As the anterior descending branch restored to a grade 3 blood flow, the stenosis of the left main bifurcation was significantly improved, and the patient's blood pressure gradually returned to the normal level. Due to severe vascular calcification, the risk of stent implantation was too high, so the team decided to temporarily not implant the stent to complete the critical blood circulation reconstruction with minimal trauma.
After the surgery, the patient was transferred to the ward for continued monitoring.
